Standard Decking
Standard Decking typically includes, 1×6 (.75″ x 5.5″) and 5/4×6 (1″ x 5.5″), but 1×4 (.75″ x 3.5″) and 5/4×4 (1″ x 3.5″) would also qualify. Our Tongue and Groove Decking is specifically designed for use in outdoor areas that are covered by a roof such as covered porches. Tongue and Groove Cladding
Tongue and Groove products provide solutions for a variety of different products. While the RainScreen Siding product is designed for weather-exposed coverages, Tongue and Groove is used for cladding non-weather-exposed applications. It is very popular for weather-protected walls, ceilings and soffits. Brazilian Wood Depot is proud to offer a variety of T&G widths and styles across all of the available Hardwood Decking Species. Common T&G widths are 5″ and 3.5″, but a variety of other widths are available upon request. Tongue and Groove is also available as “Flush-joint” meaning the board edges meet “flush” with one another, creating a flat surface. Or “V-Groove” where the edges of the boards are chamfered at a 45-degree angle, creating a V-Shaped joint where the boards meet. Click here to explore the Tongue and Groove page. Hardwood Lumber
Hardwood Lumber is often part of a standard decking package. Profiles and sizes like 2×4, 4×4, and 2×6 are often used for railing elements, pergolas, and a variety of other exterior projects. Like Hardwood Decking, Hardwood Lumber will remain beautiful and durable for decades. Click here to visit our Profiles and Dimensions page to see our different lumber profile offerings. You will find that most Dimensional Lumber is offered only in, Ipe. This is because Ipe has a higher degree of dimensional stability than the other hardwood species, allowing it to perform even when spanning longer distances with few fasteneners.
Interior Hardwood Flooring
Brazilian Wood Depot started, many years ago, as an Interior Flooring supplier specializing in Brazilian Hardwoods. Since then, BWD has focused much heavier on hardwood products for exterior applications. This said, we still offer 5″ Ipe Interior Flooring. We only deal in all-natural and unfinished flooring.
