RainDrain™ Decking is the ultimate way to create a dry living space below your deck
RainDrain Decking has specially designed channels milled into the decking that allow rain to drain run off the surface of the deck. These channels also prevent rain from dripping below the deck providing a dry living space underneath.
The cost of this decking is approximately $3.00 psf more than standard decking, which is a lot less expensive than the many underdeck systems on the market. Many under-deck systems cut off ventilation to the underside of the deck boards, which often leads to cupping, warping and rot. The RainDrain Decking design provides excellent ventilation.
We can mill this from any of our 5/4×6 decking boards, which yields a 4.5” face. Deck boards can be installed with face screws, plugs or the Deckmaster under deck system. The ideal slope of this decking is ¼” per foot fall. Ice or other impediments to water flow will hamper the drainage and could cause leakage to the area below the deck.
